Dear Amy, Thank you so much for the beautiful birthday party poem. Everyone is so impressed. Because of your wonderful poetic invitation, Jim's birthday has already gotten off to a rousing start. Indeed, 'Big Daddy' is overwhelmed with emotion. Thank you again for preparing such a special birthday poem for my man.

A Birthday Poem Example

Dear Jane,

My daughter, Jane, I can't believe,
This girl I so adore.
Will reach the age of thirty years
Come January four.

My darling, she is golden,
A lovely, dear, sweet miss.
A gem like all my children,
Like Michelle, Julie and Chris.

Jane, at first, was hell on wheels,
A handful as a teen.
Always fussing, fighting and stirring up,
Well…you know what I mean.

But now she's older, and a pip,
Believe it if you can.
Just look at the love she lavished
On her dear old darling nan.

Nan Elsie was old and all abed,
She could, at times, barely stir.
But Jane would lend a helping hand
And take great care of her.

So different from the days of old
When Nan was truly a card.
She'd squeeze young Julie and Jane by the arm,
And for Jane it was extra hard!

Jane's truly a great daughter,
And a fabulous young mother.
Ask her children, Ellis and Bailey,
They'll agree, she's like no other.

Jane, so easy to laugh at it now,
How you'd always speak your mind.
You were always one in a million,
Strictly one of a kind.

Like when you were a toddler
And in a hospital bed
The way you just demanded
Those boots you loved – the red?

Or your fabled trip to Tunisia
A classic holiday.
When Uncle Tommy and Auntie Joan
Realized hell to pay.
